Based on the statistical yearbook data of meteorological disasters in Zhejiang Province, a four-dimensional disaster volume model is used to assess the meteorological disaster losses in Zhejiang Province. The analysis of annual disaster losses in Zhejiang Province from 2003 to 2017 shows the meteorological disaster losses are obviously heavier in 2004 and 2005, and the year of 2013 has seen the most serious losses since 2010; the typhoon disaster loss plays an important role in the assessment of annual meteorological disaster losses in Zhejiang Province and powerful typhoon events are likely to introduce heavy or obviously heavier loss year of meteorological disasters. The results indicate that the assessment of meteorological disasters by the four-dimensional disaster volume model is scientific and objective.
