Abstract:To solve the problem of the lack of three-dimensional space geometry and topology information in the dual-polarization products of the dual-polarization doppler weather radar ( abbreviation as “dual polarization radar” ), analysis and coordinate transformation are carried out on the dual-polarization radar differential reflectance ( ZDR ), specific differential phase ( KDP ) and correlation coefficient ( CC ) dual-polarization product, and three-dimensional ( 3D ) stereo model are redraw using Python library and computer graphics interpolation technology. By comparison of the elevation-combined ZDR , KDP and CC three-dimension products with the single-elevation plane product, three-dimensional visualization products can display the spatial distribution of dual-polarization radar characteristic more intuitively and comprehensively, helping to obtain overall structure of radar echo and provide important reference for monitoring and warning severe weather.
