A tropical cyclone (TC) microwave brightness temperature database is established by using the spatio-temporal matching of the Fengyun-3B (FY-3B) Microwave Radiation Imager (MWRI) level-1 brightness temperature data and the TC best track data with an interval of 6 h. The database contains a total of 538 TCs above the tropical storm intensity level generated in 6 TC-prone basins from 2011 to 2016, as well as the 10-channel microwave brightness temperature and 36.50 GHz and 89.00 GHz polarization corrected temperature (PCT) corresponding to each TC. The potential application of this database in tropical cyclone research is also briefly clarified, and especially it provides strong data support for studying the microwave brightness temperature characteristics and TC intensity changes during the TC life cycle.
