Abstract:The Chinese-French Oceanic Satellite(CFOSAT), jointly developed by China and France, was launched in 2018 and is in orbit for more than 5 years. On board payloads include a wave spectrometer and a fan-beam rotating microwave scatterometer, which provide both the data of global sea surface wind field and 3-d wave spectrum. CFOSAT level 1-4 data products include backscatter coefficient, along-track wind field and wave spectrum of the sea surface, global grided wind field and wave spectrum, wide-swatch wave, polar sea ice, multi-satellite fusion wind field and sufficent wave height, etc.. It provides a new data source for marine environment prediction, marine disaster monitoring and global climate change research. This paper intrudes CFOSAT data product series and evaluation results.
