    摘要:

    中法海洋卫星(Chinese-French Oceanography Satellite, CFOSAT)搭载的微波散射计(CSCAT)首次采用扇形波束旋转扫描观测体制,相比笔形波束旋转扫描体制,可以实现海表同一面元的多入射角观测,具备更高精度海面风场的观测能力。CSCAT散射计的原始空间分辨率可达10 km×12.5 km,生产了两种空间分辨率产品:25km标准产品和12.5km近岸产品。本文给出了CSCAT两种空间分辨率产品的业务化真实性检验评估结果,结果表明:采用NDBC浮标得到CSCAT散射计风速RMS优于1m/s,风向RMS优于17°;采用ERA5再分析资料,分析了两种空间分辨率产品精度与风速大小、交轨方向不同刈幅位置的精度特征,分析了CSCAT风场产品的模糊解去除能力。本文的分析结果显示标准产品的精度要高于近岸产品,对于产品精度需求更高的用户,建议使用25km标准产品。因此,业务化真实性检验评估对CSCAT在轨运行期间的性能监测具有非常重要的价值,也有助于用户更全面地了解CSCAT风场产品的精度特性,促进CSCAT海面风场产品的定量化应用。

    Abstract:

    The Chinese-French Oceanography Satellite (CFOSAT) scatterometer (CSCAT) adopts a new observation scheme of Ku-band fan-beam rotating scanning system, and could improve the wind vectors production precision by more incidence angles of the same wind vector cell in contrast with the pencil-beam rotating scanning system. Based on the raw spatial resolution of 10 km×12.5 km, the standard production of 25km and coast production of 12.5km are processed. Referencing the validation technology system, this paper presents the validation results for two resolution products of CSCAT. The validation results show that the RMS of wind speed and wind direction is less than 1m/s and 17°, using the NDBC buoys. Using the ERA5 reanalysis data, the precision characteristics of the two spatial resolution products, including the dependence of residual error on the wind speed and the cross-track location of the wind vector cells were analyzed, and the skill of the ambiguity removal was also evaluated. The comparison of precision characteristics show that the precision of standard product is better than that of coastal product. If users are more concerned about product accuracy, we recommend using standard products. So, the evaluations by the validation technology system have very important value for the performance monitoring of CSCAT during on-orbit operation, also help users to more fully understand the accuracy characteristics of CSCAT wind products, and promote the quantitative application of CSCAT wind products.
